STRANIZZA D’AMURI ORANGE WINE – IGP TERRE SICILIANE Vineyard: Carricante 100% Cultivation system: sapling on the row. Age of the vineyards: about 15 years old Production Area: East side of Mount Etna, near Zafferana Etnea. Altitude: 550 m asl. Climate: of hill overlooking the sea with wide fluctuations in temperature between day and night. Type of soil: volcanic sandy, rich in mineral salts. Vine density: 6.000 plants per hectare. Yield per hectare: 60 Ql. Vinification: The grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. Fermentation with the skins at 16/18 °C. with repeated punching down for about 3 weeks. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is pressed and stored until bottling. Ageing: 6 months in stainless steel on fine lees. Colour: pale orange with golden highlights. Bouquet: orange blossom, ripe yellow flower, aromatic herbs, very ripe exotic fruit, smoky notes and tea leaf. Taste: dry, with balanced freshness and sapidity, and an unexpected tannic structure that wraps the palate and invites another sip. Alcohol content: 12 % vol. Food matches: it pairs well with aged cheeses, delicate fried foods and fish soups. Serving temperature: 12-14 °C. Production manager: Leonardo La Corte Bottles produced: about 1.200 / year. Bottle: Rhenish bottle Nouvelle, (8,1 x 32,8 cm) in dark glass, high protection AG. Bottles 75 cl. Stopper: technical cork, flanged stoppers, environmentally sustainable, in sugarcane biopolymer, zero carbon footprint impact, Nomacorc SelectGreen100. 44 x 24 mm. Label: in two languages and barcode. Made in recycled paper.
